Vice & Co (AKA the best secret bar in Lincoln)
If you enjoy a secret bar as much as I do, you will want to pay a visit to Vice and Co. As with all secret bars, it’s hard to spot this place if you don’t know what you are looking for. However, it’s a true hidden gem in Lincoln (see what I did there?)
This unique low-lit bar is the perfect place to relax with a few drinks after a day of sightseeing. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that having a drink here is one of the best things to do in Lincoln. The customer service is fab and the large selection of cocktails on the menu is super impressive. They have an array of classics and seasonal drinks on the menu, as well as beers, wines and spirits.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the very best cocktail bars in the city!
Personal recommendations: Con Artist and Mexican Standoff.
The Electric Bar
Located on the fifth floor of the four-star Hilton Hotel, The Electric Bar overlooks Brayford Waterfront. Because of this, it’s a fab place to check out during sunset for beautiful views and a fantastic atmosphere. If you’re looking to grab a bargain, this spot has a special offer on selected cocktails for “sunset sips” between the hours of 4pm and 7pm every day except Friday and Saturday.
Like most bars, The Electric Bar offers a selection of classic cocktails as well as signature cocktails. They also serve up lager, ales, champagne, wine and spirits, which means there’s something for everyone!
The Barge
Fancy a cocktail on a floating boat? Then look no further than The Barge. Situated on Brayford Waterfront just a stone’s throw away from The Electric Bar, this is one of the most unique cocktail bars in Lincoln. As well as serving up delicious drinks, The Barge is also beautifully decorated making for a lovely all-round experience.
Important: The Barge is currently closed for Winter until 2nd June 2022.
Number 38 Restaurant
Located inside The Tower Hotel, the Number 38 Restaurant is a great place to grab a bite to eat. However, it’s also well worth visiting if you’re in the mood for a cocktail. They’ll be happy to serve you the typical modern classics as well as their “tower originals”.
The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and throughout my whole stay, each member of staff went above and beyond to ensure I was having a great time. This place is well-loved for a reason!
Personal recommendations: Aperol Spritz and Coco Berry
Carousel Bar
If you enjoy cocktail bars with a different twist, then Carousel Bar needs to be added to your Lincoln itinerary! This highly popular bar is perhaps one of the best places to enjoy a night out with your pals in Lincoln. Mostly due to the fact you can enjoy the arcade games while your food is cooking in the kitchen! How fun!
A quick note: As a solo traveller, I gave this place a miss as it seemed like the kind of place you’d visit with friends or loved ones. However, that isn’t to say that you shouldn’t try it out if you are travelling alone. Who knows, you might love it!
The Strait and Narrow
Boasting what seemed like the largest cocktail menu in the city, I was highly impressed with my visit to The Strait and Narrow. This super quirky bar attracts people of all ages thanks to its excellent location, interesting drinks selection and retro decor.
The staff were also incredibly friendly and made such an effort with the presentation of my drinks. Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Personal recommendations: Aphrodite and Sweet Like Fire.
