Located in Fira, Ifestos Villa offer incredibly charming serviced apartments that boast a lot of Greek charm. Santorini is unsurprisingly a dream holiday location for many and staying in an apartment can make you feel more at home as you holiday in Greece. I would highly recommend Ifestos Villa to anybody travelling to Santorini. Here is why:
Airport transfers to and from Ifestos Villa
Due to a limited public transport service to and from the airport, it can be a little difficult to get into the centre of Fira or Oia. It would also be difficult to walk due to winding and narrow roads which can get busy with traffic. Because of this, it is much easier to arrange a transfer service with your accommodation. Opting for Ifestos Villa to pick us from the airport was a hassle-free experience. They arranged for a transfer service to pick us up from the airport. We then made our way towards the villa where they dropped us off for a fee of €20 . Upon checking out, we were taken to the airport directly by a staff member that worked at the villa.
Customer service and hospitality
The staff member who drove us to the airport also has no problem with printing off our boarding passes. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed and had a stress free end to our trip. Every time we needed help with a problem, the staff at Ifestos Villa assisted us in the best way possible.
Location, location, location
Ifestos Villa couldn’t be more conveniently located in my opinion. Situated around a 10-minute walk from the centre of Fira, it’s in a super peaceful and quiet location yet not too far away from attractions, bars and restaurants. Less than 15 minutes after leaving your lovely apartment, you could be sipping cocktails at PK cocktail bar. What more could you want?
There is also a small shop located a few minutes walk away where you will be able to stock up on necessities like tea, coffee and Greek yoghurt which are obviously VERY important.
Facilities and services
You will receive access to free on-site parking and free wifi during your stay. In addition, there is also a daily maid service. You will also find a pool and lounge area which is perfect for chilling out after a long day of exploring. Car rental services are available, as well as shuttle services, beauty treatments and massages.
The rooms are air-conditioned which is an absolute must in the summer months. In addition to this, the rooms are super clean and fully equipped with everything you might need from an iron and toiletries to a fridge freezer and an array of cooking equipment in the mini kitchenette including pans, cutlery and plates.
Furthermore, some rooms come with a balcony which also includes a table, chairs and sun loungers to relax in private. Inside, expect to find a bathroom (that comes with free amenities), a bedroom with a comfy bed, a wardrobe, a sofa and a desk.
One small downside is that the apartments are advertised as soundproofed online which is not entirely true. We could hear the family in the apartment next door. Thankfully, they did not disturb us much as we were out for most of the day.
A buffet breakfast is included in the rate of the room, however, I wasn’t a fan. I felt as though some of the food wasn’t particularly fresh every day. It would also be better with more choice of foods and a wider variety of fruit.
If you are a fussy eater, I recommend heading to the shops and picking up your own breakfast foods. That way you can then prepare and eat it from the comfort of your sofa, bed or private balcony.
Final thoughts on Ifestos Villa
Upon reflection, Ifestos Villa was excellent value for money. The apartments boast a lot of charm, the staff are amazing and the location is perfect. Although there were two small downsides, I would definitely stay at Ifestos Villa again.
